Cricket Club Bloemendaal is advertising the position of player / coach for the 2020 season.
Cricket Club Bloemendaal is a traditional cricket club in the village of Bloemendaal, the Netherlands. Established in 1910 and with two cricket grounds, the clubs has some 300 members.
De 1st team plays both KNCB Hoofdklasse and Twenty20 in KNCB Topklasse. Topklasse is the highest league in cricket in the Netherlands. The 2nd team plays KNCB Tweede klasse. The club also has youth teams in each age group, starting at U9 up to U17. The club has a large social cricket scene which feeds to the village team as well as the youth teams.
Position and requirements
- we are looking for a wicket keeper and all round batsman who is available as a player in the 1st team
- recent experience as a player at international 1st class level and with the knowledge and experience to be a leading player / coach in KNCB Topklasse
- minimum ECB coaching level II combined with a number of years of experience as coach at a level similar to at least KNCB Topklasse
- with coaching experience, knowledge and ability to independently manage and guide the club’s coaches with a view to improving the club’s training programme
- fluent in English
Location and hours of work
The club and grounds are in Bloemendaal, the Netherlands. Working hours will be from 3pm to 8pm Tuesdays - Fridays and in the weekends from 10am to 6pm or 8am to 4pm depending on start time of the 1st team match.
Employment conditions
We can offer a contract for a fixed period of time being the term of the cricket season, starting mid April and ending mid September 2020. Depending on age and experience we can offer remuneration in the range of EUR 2.000 to EUR 2.200 gross per month, excluding holiday allowance. De club will arrange a place to stay should the candidate not live within reasonable travel distance of the club, or will pay for travel cost should the candidate live in the Netherlands.
